Coming from the north, Guatemala is the gateway to Central America, bordered by four countries.

MEXICO

This is the biggest neighbor and shares 950 km border. Throughout history, there was a dispute between the two governments in the region and the expansion of the division of the land, but the final agreement was signed in 1882.

The state of Chiapas is the one with the largest number of the control unit via the border with Guatemala and, interestingly, also share similar problems in the social and economic level. All this because of a shared history that dates back to the indigenous groups that dominated the region for centuries.

Currently, the two countries have good relations and part of Guatemala in Mexico for sightseeing or shopping is very fluid with different geographical locations.

BELIZE

Does Guatemala have a neighbor with a big problem at the moment, although it is not beyond the international and political movements. Belize is part of Mexico and then the United Kingdom belongs, until independence in 1981. Since then, Guatemala has a territorial dispute, and there is still a problem with the line current.

In the social and human aspects, there is no problem between Guatemala and Belizeans. Of course, language barriers and geographical location (many crossings are in the middle of the woods) inhibits a closer relationship.

HONDURAS

The Motagua River marking the natural border between the two countries and has the distinction of hosting the only source of jade in the region. The eastern neighbors has always been a goal to participate in the mutual interest of both countries.

Guatemala has joined Honduras and El Salvador to the free trade agreements with Mexico, and other political efforts to promote the mark. Central America International

EL SALVADOR

This is one of the neighboring southeast and highlighted the limits Guija Lake, which stretches 45 kilometers and has a variety of animals, most of them reptiles. Guatemala and El Salvador are similar in many respects culture throughout history, education and resources.

It is not uncommon for a working trip to the neighboring region for citizens of both countries and to learn, so the limit has a lot of people and vehicular traffic daily.

However, it is still the most dangerous country in Central America. Many backpackers and tourists, however, to keep the idea of ??a separate crime and replaces El Salvador. The reason behind the decision by tourists is warm, the locals here. International surfers for years have stated that sweet break on the Pacific coast can be counted as one of the best in the world here. Not only the coastal state has a lot of natural beauty to offer – coffee plantations, volcanoes and beaches – although deforestation and catastrophic damage.

Place

You will find the capital of San Salvador is very interesting because the poor and the valley is full of smoke. But Santa Ana, which is close to the sugar cane fields and coffee plantations beautiful provide a good tourist destination. One can also visit the Mayan ruins Tazumal, a place used for human sacrifice. Then you can proceed, almost two hours to the north, and in La Palma that you will be greeted with a cold refilled with eye catchy look.

Being a small country, tourists to El Salvador will always remain close to the Pacific coast, where ever they go. The beaches here have water in more than eighty degrees with perfect waves break and the sand is less crowded. This is why surfers love the beach crowd here. Some of the famous beaches and the most popular beaches are Las Flores, La Libertad and Playa Herradura. However, if you do not then you will love the beaches of San Juan del Gozo and the Costa del Sol calmer waters and beautiful white sand have. A Surfer

If you want to go further than the Montecristo National Park, which is almost four hours north of San Salvador, is the place for you. A beautiful cloud forest, Montecristo National Park is the place to meet the limits El Salvador, Guatemala and Honduras. Another natural destination for tourists is the El Imposible National Park. Here you can travel 9 miles to reach the highest point at Cerro Leon, which gives you a view of the volcano. Imposible and Montecristo National Park is home to around 500 different species of birds and mammals.

Heartbreak for many travelers is the fact that nearly 98 percent of the country’s forests have been in 30 years. Due to massive deforestation

Move

It is a small country and the tourist infrastructure is not good for internal trips. The public bus system in El Salvador cheap, they are crowded and not for the luggage rack. The most popular option is to hire, especially for tourists who moves with surfboard, your car can also rent a minibus. You can fly to San Salvador International Airport, which has been renovated. Costs in El Salvador are very low.

Everybody needs a holiday, especially when their everyday life is a busy one. If you work hard every single day and hardly have time for yourself or your family, you must know how it feels to need a vacation. Therefore, when you have a few days off and you have the money as well, you should not stay in your city and get away to some place where you have never been. You can use the few days off to feel relaxed and see new things that you are interested and have never seen. You can bring your family there if you already have one. It would be such a great experience to get away from work for a while and be at some nice place that make you feel good.

As there are many holiday destinations, you might get confused in choosing which destination, especially if you decide to spend your days off abroad. However, you should not get confused as you will see a very interesting recommendation in this article. You should try having private xian tours, where you can have an authentic and affordable tour in Xian, China. The xian day trips are guaranteed to be satisfactory.

Football (Soccer) is the most popular sport and is practiced. National team matches will be followed with enthusiasm by most of the population. National Stadium offers a great turnout and met at the bar or home to watch television. For the game

One of the clearest examples is the historical result against Brazil in a match played in Miami for the Gold Cup, when the team held a 1-1 draw Guatemala.

Currently, the national team in the qualifiers for the 2014 World Cup and hope to fight until the final stage of qualifying for their first World Cup to reach.

Local Championships

National League is also very popular and usually has a large number of fans attending the weekend. City communication, which is based in the capital, the most popular team and most titles won. Some others like Xelajú or Suchitepequez is a strong contender and is supported by the cities outside the capital.

Live fan support at games developed for two reasons. One is the meaning of representation, especially for a team playing under the name of their town. And the other is the low number of nationally televised games.

Growth of futsal

In recent years, futsal (indoor soccer variant and approved by the Federation Internationale de Football Association) exploded in terms of popularity among fans of Guatemala.

The national team is the defending champion in this area and has participated in several international tournaments, achieving good performance and positive comments from analysts.

As in football, the league has a great follow and the final is always played in the stands before thousands of people.

Mateo Flores: legend

Mateo Flores is a long-distance runner who collected many victories in international competitions and are recognized as being the best sport in this country.

Going around without a car every day in working life basis is really a handful to deal with. Life nowadays is to be made easier, not to add much more difficulty and lots of tiny obstacles. Can you imagine if today we all still using type-writer machine to make letters or maybe worse, still writing mails by hand like in Shakespeare time. Another interesting example is when you need new clothes for a ‘sudden cocktail party’ the next day, you will need to go to few stores just to get one perfect piece of clothes and sometimes one day is just not enough, right?. It was like that a few years ago until we became good friends with ‘online shopping’. The great thing about that is not only we can shop clothes but also other thing such as home appliances, electronics, painting tools, gardening tools, basically everything you would need.

Back to the car topic, when you have cars, life will absolutely be easier, guaranteed but also can be a lot of trouble too when you dont have car insurance. With carinsuranserates.com that provide the best online app, who will make your life way easier by just putting your zip code in the app and the app will deliver the car insurance right on your mobile! Make life easy!

Guatemala has gone from colonial times to independence and internal conflict, for democracy today.

Guatemala is “eternal homeland” for residents at this time, although struggling a lot of experience in daily life. Throughout its history, Guatemala has had a strong, painful struggle that the history of their country and neighboring Central America marked resolved.

The earliest record of life in Guatemala dates back to the Mayan region, which many define cultural identity ‘chapÃnes “as a resident of the Republic of Guatemala is now known.

The first signs of life are found in the area of ??the Peten and the date 6500 BC. Most of archaeological findings from 3000-2500 BC and belongs to a large number of Indian settlements.

As shown in the film free history accurate “Apocalypto”, Maya lived in small colonies and sharing daily tasks to survive in the world around them. Even today, despite Western influences, indigenous peoples remain the same behavior on food, shelter and have. Entertainment

Conquest and independence

Pedro de Alvarado, the conqueror of Spain, was appointed to the Guatemalan state to come in and choose to do so in the Pacific. His bright idea is the Cakchiquel people to join him and his army against the K’iche convincing. As the story goes, the leader of India and is now a national hero Tecum Uman is the only one capable of differences between indigenous peoples faced settle old scores.

Spanish soldiers stronger and after many bloody battles, they were able to control India. Last major city to fall under the domain name is the heart of the Maya Itza: Tayasal city.

An important starting point for Guatemala is the struggle for independence in the 19th century. On 15 September 1821, Guatemala won its independence from Spain and the immediate release of several neighboring Central American countries. Even today, this date is a reason for great celebration and remembrance for those who fought.

Four state capitals

Throughout its rich history, the capital of Guatemala moved several times. It all started with the arrival of the Spaniards, who after his first victory established the first capital at a place called Iximche. This city does not last long as the young nation’s capital because of an ongoing battle with India. Furthermore, the Spaniards moved to the Valley Almolonga, this time led by Jorge de Alvarado (Pedro’s brother). A storm of epic proportions to destroy the city and India say it is divine punishment. Pedro de Alvarado was killed while trying to save himself and his wife did shortly after.

Capital was then placed in the valley and lived two centuries Panchoy. A series of powerful earthquakes abandoned architectural structures in very poor condition and decided the new changes. Today the city is known as Antigua Guatemala and is a must-see tourist destination. In 1777, amid protests and intentions of many people to not move, Guatemala of the Assumption was founded in the Virgin Valley.

Currently, the capital is one of the most modern and most powerful in Central America, with a high contrast and a technology center with a population charm the original function. A rich past, a gift that drive the economy in the region, and a promising future. All this, despite the social problems that still plague the country politically.
